Technology and Wellbeing Roundtable - Telstra Foundation x ReachOut Australia

Amber was invited to speak as a young voice at the Technology and Wellbeing Roundtable, co-hosted by the Telstra Foundation and ReachOut Australia. The event brought together cross-sector leaders to explore the role that data, policy, and youth participation play in creating a better digital world for children and young people. Alongside keynote speaker Professor Sonia Livingstone from the Digital Futures for Children Centre, Amber represented the South Australian Youth Forum in conversations about integrating youth voices into everything from data collection to policy-making to tech design. The roundtable explored the tension between protection and empowerment approaches to children's digital lives, and what genuine youth participation in that space looks like in practice.
