Fatiha, who was born in Bangladesh and migrated to Adelaide with her family when she was six, wanted her final artwork to have a mix of modern and traditional elements. She says The World of the Tigress pays homage to her country of origin and cultural experiences that she believes are under-represented in popular media and culture.

For those living in metropolitan areas, these types of groups are much more common to come across, giving many ways to be involved in that particular community and have a say in matters affecting that area. But for young people like myself, living in regional areas, these groups can be quite challenging to find in local communities, either because of lack of interest or people willing to start them.

As a participant in the 2023 Menzies Emerging Leaders program, I can attest to the transformative impact that clarity of purpose has in guiding both effective and ethical leadership. A select group of “Magic 11” participants, including myself, had the privilege of coming together at an online workshop across 1.5 days to engage more deeply with ethics, reflect on leadership, and explore how we can contribute to the greater good.

Page 50: As we push back against gender roles, the patriarchy has found its last stand in policing sexuality across the board. Lesbians are either derogatorily mannish, or barely squeezes into acceptance through aestheticized gender conformity. Men are either cruel, or vivacious gay best friends.

Over the last few years of my public education, I was in and out of the classroom primarily because of the pandemic, instead opting to complete my years of schooling from home where possible. Unfortunately, as you know, that's not the way that the system is designed. Public schools are unable to cater to students that may need to complete their studies online.
