Amber has been invited by the Executive Director of National Curriculum Services to deliver a keynote address at the Official Dinner of the 2026 National Schools Constitutional Convention, to be held at the National Press Club of Australia in Canberra on 25 March 2026. The NSCC began as an initiative of the Constitutional Centenary Federation in 1995 and brings together 120 students from across all school sectors to engage directly with complex constitutional questions. The 2026 Convention will be its 31st cohort. Amber has been invited specifically in her capacity as the 2025 SA Young Australian of the Year and for her work building the South Australian Youth Forum, and has been asked to deliver a 15-minute keynote on the importance of youth voice in democracy, her work with young Australians through SAYF, and her own experience as a delegate at NSCC in 2022. The 2026 topic asks whether Section 53 of the Constitution should be amended to prevent the Senate from blocking supply, a question made especially timely by the 50th anniversary of the Whitlam dismissal. Amber will share the stage with Tom McIlroy, Political Editor at the Guardian Australia. Being invited to address the student delegation at the Official Dinner of the National Press Club, on one of the most contested questions in Australian constitutional history, is a significant national platform and a clear demonstration of where SAYF's profile now reaches.
