3 SAYF members spent a day across Parndana and Kingscote campuses speaking to over 400 young people in Years 7 to 12 about youth advocacy, resilience, and leadership. The visit marked the beginning of something significant for Kangaroo Island, building the connections and foundations for what is now the established Kangaroo Island Youth Movement.

South Australian Youth Forum.

The South Australian Youth Forum acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Australia’s Lands, Waters, and Skies.

Located on Kaurna Country, our Forum acknowledges the enduring connection Kaurna people share with the Adelaide region; and extends that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nations across Australia. We pay our respects to all Elders, both past and present.

As we gather on unceded Sovereign Land, our Forum - comprised of Aboriginal youth and allies - aims to walk together in championing Indigenous voices. Our Forum maintains a firm commitment to truth-telling, listening, healing, and understanding; building a better ‘now’.
