SAYF presented to the Department for Education Executive Committee on Curriculum and Learning, advocating for the integration of life skills education into the school curriculum. Our members made the case for a future where young people graduate equipped with real-world knowledge including financial literacy, navigating relationships, understanding government systems, and knowing their rights.

The South Australian Youth Forum acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Australia’s Lands, Waters, and Skies.

Located on Kaurna Country, our Forum acknowledges the enduring connection Kaurna people share with the Adelaide region; and extends that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nations across Australia. We pay our respects to all Elders, both past and present.

As we gather on unceded Sovereign Land, our Forum - comprised of Aboriginal youth and allies - aims to walk together in championing Indigenous voices. Our Forum maintains a firm commitment to truth-telling, listening, healing, and understanding; building a better ‘now’.
