Wyatt Trust: SA Youth Forum Consultation

The Wyatt Trust is a philanthropic organisation dedicated to alleviating poverty in South Australia and supporting people to build their independence.

The Wyatt Trust came to us wanting to explore how support can better help young people build their independence.

Before the session, we worked with the Wyatt Trust team to shape the conversation around accessible support services and application processes. This matters to make sure the conversation starts where the organisation actually needs answers, and our crew has something real to respond to.

This consultation explored what young people want and need from support services, what makes a service feel accessible, and how application processes can either help or get in the way. We looked at what makes young people feel comfortable reaching out for support, what might stop them from doing so, and where there is room to make the experience more welcoming and straightforward.

Afterwards, SAYF delivered a written summary of the key themes from the session, along with practical recommendations to help inform the Wyatt Trust's work moving forward.

This was a direct engagement through our pilot consultancy model using the youth-led option.
