SHINE SA: SA Youth Forum Consultation Pt. 2

SHINE SA came back to us with more to explore.

Before the session, we worked with the SHINE SA team to shape the agenda and write the questions, building on our previous consultation. This matters to make sure the conversation starts where the organisation actually needs answers, and our crew has something real to respond to.

The two-hour consultation explored sexual health education and engagement. First, what young people wish educators and trusted adults understood when talking about sexual health, and what helps those conversations feel safe, useful and genuine. From there, we moved into how SHINE SA engages with young people, including what young adults want from school sessions, the Let's Talk About Sexual Health program and their broader initiatives, and where there might be room to do things differently.

Afterwards, SAYF delivered a written summary of the key themes from the session, along with practical recommendations for SHINE SA's educators' program and longer-term guidance on potential projects and initiatives that impact young people.

This was part of our ongoing paid consultation series with SHINE SA through our pilot consultancy model.
