History Trust SA: SA Youth Forum consultation

History Trust SA came to us wanting to connect with the generation that often gets missed: young adults who have left school but aren't yet at retirement age.

This 2-hour consultation explored how history can be made more relevant and engaging for young people, and what it might look like to rethink the way History Trust SA shows up. We discussed how the organisation and its galleries could be 'rebranded' for a younger audience, alongside the kinds of events, campaigns and experiences that young people would actually want to get involved in.

With four key galleries and the History Festival on the horizon, there was plenty to explore around how to bring a new generation through the doors and get them connecting with South Australia's history.

Afterwards, SAYF provided feedback and practical recommendations to help inform History Trust SA's future engagement, events and initiatives for young people.

This was a direct engagement through our pilot consultancy model.
